im far too lazy - and dont think it would improve the knee which i injured sking a few years ago. No other clutch pedal has ever caused me any problem though. Im suprised the clutch is so heavy on such as good a car as the octavia

with modern technology i dont see why the clutch cant be as light as the accelerator pedal

I find my clutch to be quite light and not seen anyone else complain about it so maybe your car has some sort of problem? might be worth a trip to the dealer to check it against another car?

Like Bryan says above, mine isn't that heavy on my 1.9TDI PD.

I bust a cruciate ligament, so i can appreciate it can cause problems.

Heaviest clutch i've ever seen is in a Renault Kangoo 1.5DCI 70 and a 1.2 8v Clio, i would have expected them to be easier due to mainly stop start driving.

Have you tried raising (or lowering) your seat to give your knee a different angle ?

Looking back, I think the clutch on my Fabia was heavier than that of my Civic and my Mondeo but it never struck me as a major issue at the time. I occasionally felt the strain in heavy traffic.
