Headlamp cluster

I drive a RHD Octavia 1.9TD Elegance Estate (2005) and recently moved to France. The cars first Controle Technique (MOT) is due 1/3/2009 and I have been researching the purchase of LHD headlight clusters.

In doing so I have come across what I believe are the Hella equivalent of the lights currently on the car -- the Hella reference for the L.light is 1A5 246 003-191 and that on the car is 1U2 941 015J. NB: the light cluster has the built-in foglight.

My current lights don't have any lens on the outside class but the image of the Hella shows a lens.

Q: What controls the dip (to the left) on the fitted factory lens and is the Hella a true replacement?
