HD lance... any good

Featured Replies

Having already bought the Gilmour foam thingy... i wasnt overly impressed with the coating of foam compared to what i have seen since with attatchments onto presure washers.. you tube vids etc.

Anyway is the following a good price for this sort of thing...

Snow Foam Lance

I have the Karcher 620M.. am presuming this will work well, unfortunately the inbuilt mixer of the karcher seemed to give up the gost within two uses of snow foam :( thats why i got the gilmour at the time.

Just thinking this time of year... its quick to give the car a quick snow foamin g to keep grit/ salt off etc :)

The price looks reasonable. You will notice a massive difference with the foam lance compared to the Gilmour.

Definately worth it.

I bought the HD lance over a year ago and it's great !

maybe i should have saved my cash then on the gilmour (with it being similar price), but didnt know about the lance's at the time sigh.

Will it work with the 620M does anyone know, its got the bayonet "twist n fit" type connector, which is shown in the link, so am presuming it will.

AFAIK all Karchers have teh same fitment. ( i may be wrong)

So to be on the safe side, just state your model when ordering it. I would think it will be fine though.

I got a Sealey pressure washer from Santa, and the foam bottle thing that came with it is pretty **** poor!

It uses all the soap up way too quickly and doesn't foam much at all....

Guess I need one of these HD foam lances and some Snow Foam detergent stuff then!

The unit itself seems good and decent quality, and supplied enough pressure for me to blast the paving stones back to their former state! But the hose is all curly and stiff, and the 4 nozzle fittings aren't the best quality.

Who makes a decent hose/trigger unit?

Just ordered the all brass fitting HD lance, just a little under £50 with postage, so there may well be a very nicely priced (only used twice) Gillmour foam gun up for grabs, depending on what i decide to do ;)

Get rid of it, you won't need it once you have your HD lance............I know I did..........:D

i've got the lance... arrived Friday.... but not had bloody chance to use it yet, what with it being freezing tempratures saturday, and crappy weather sunday.. i must say though its a quality piece of kit! Heavy brass fitments, and checked and it goes into the Karcher gun easily... as i had heard on DW that some had been having problems fitting them.

I'll get some pics when i do use it :)
