Changing the speakers in Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I´m putting in a central lock system in my Fabia and it made me think... While I´m in here, why not do something about the broken speaker that´s bugging me?

But the problem is that it seems the speakers are not really that easy to pull out of the doors. My question is then: how do you pull your old speakers out and fit the new in?

Just to make it clear: I have searched the forum, but it came up blank... And a google-search just got me as far as a post in here about fitting larger speakers. What I need is just to get a new speaker in there - no upgrading of the soundsystem as such :)

Hope there´s someone who can at least stear me in the right direction.... Thanks!

P.S. Great forum by the way - I would probably be lying on the ground sobbing next to my car if it wasn´t for all the great guides there´s to be found at briskoda.

P.P.S. I´m danish so English is a second language to me - therefore: my appologies for any bad grammar and mispellings :)

Thanks, althoughI didn't see the link before the picture was taken down.

I guess the informaiton is in the Haynes manual then...

Moved to the ICE / security forum

Have a look at the section where this post now hides, but basically from what I remember, you remove the door cards and then the speaker is rivited to the door itself, you have to drill it out.

Drill the rivers and replace with a nut and bolt.
