Thermostat

Featured Replies

Just had a new thermostat fitted due to the temp gauge playing up.

The Temp Guage just sits at the bottom but if i start the car when it is war it goes stright to the middle, it's as if it only reads it when i start the car and then doesn't change.

Only on occasion has it actually moved to the middle after a cold start.

I had it fitted on friday.

??????????

Did you have the proper Skoda part (047121111S) fitted?

I would hope so.

But wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't.

what engine is it dude because coolant temp sensors are always playing up on all VAG cars and the sensor sits in the thermostat housing and if the sensor wasnt replaced with the housing that could be the problem with ur funky temp guage :) they only cost about £5 if that, that would be where i'd start
