Can anyone help with my central locking. just bought my octavia vrs last week and its been great. Just got a problem today with the central locking with it locking all the time. looked like a right pudding opening the door but the car was locking before i opened the door. can anyone plz help

were you trying to open the door by the handle from the inside or from outside with the remote?

From the outside. would press the open button but would lock straight away before you have chance to open the door. It was same on the inside as soon as you pressed open in would lock.

it may be a failure of one of the microswitches in the control module, it thinks the key is in the locking position in the door lock itself, so as soon as it unlocks it automatically locks again. have you tried it with the key in the door instead as it may just be stuck? if it is a pre 02 you may need to strip the module and resolder the terminals - covered quite a bit on here if you do a search.
