nearly 9k on the clock and a oil leak....leaking onto cover...is this common??!!!....any ideas...seems to be on the drivers side....help

Pull the plastic engine cover off and see whether its coming from the rubber oil filler cap surround or from the engine itself.

No It's not common, however as already said, you'll need to give us a picture to tell you where it might be coming from.

To be fair if it's an 09 plate I'd be up getting it looked at by the dealer myself.
