Considering new car

Featured Replies

Thinking of getting a new petrol Octy VRS. Not really interested in the limited edition.

What are the best deals at the moment??

Spec..

18" wheels

Maxidot

Xenons

I am assuming that the jumbo box and electric windows are standard with this list.

Ball park figures appreciated.

Thanks

with that spec and presumably with the facelifted interior you are looking at about 17k at best.

got my new car through drive the deal. very straight forward and no money changes hands until the dealer supplying the car gets in touch with you to confirm the order......

17k???

I paid £15,700 for my TDi 4 months ago.

I reckon that if you phone enough dealers you would get one for about £15k. It pays to ring around.

but isn't that for the 2008 model year?????

if not, well done you,if it is then you know why it was so cheap ;)

Old model is coming in at £15k from dtd, new model £16.5

What difference does the model year make? Apart from the addition of a new steering wheel and some other minor interior changes.

If you were talking about the difference between pre and post external facelift I would understand but that isn't out till middle of the year.

The fact that the changes are only internal on the vrs are neither here nor there.

I take it you have the older interior...............i do, and thats why i got a better price compared with going for the new spec interior.

Maybe it "shouldn't" make a difference but i'm sure you are well aware that it does........

you get lower resale for a 2008 car compared to a 2009.

also depreciation comes into the picture and insurance valuations drop down. any claims - the parts are depreciated to account for year of manufacture - eg plastic/glass parts for which you pay a certain percentage.

these are obvious ones - but if the owner is fine with this - there's no difference! :)
