Connects2 iPod kit in Octy - continual charging

Featured Replies

Anyone else faced this and know of a solution? Connects2 kit went in at the weekend and working well. However, when the ignition goes off the iPod continues to charge.

I presume this is because there isn't a switched live to the Stream? I've got the iPod cable plumbed through to the glovebox, so it's a bit of a faff disconnecting it and re-connecting each time. Especially if it can be avoided :) I never had a problem with a very similar Dension IceLink in the Fabia....

Cheers,

Steve

I'm having the same problem in a Fabia.

Did you ever find out what causes it and whether it can be resolved?

It didn't happen when I had a virtually identical Dension IceLink in the Fabia. It happens because the HU in the Octy doesn't have a switched live feed. Resolution for you would be to pick up a switched live from the fusebox.

It's out and sold now anyway :)

Steve
