anywho gave it a clean and blast with compresor , just wanted to know do you need to oil them got a friend with a k+n cleaning kit and could use that or will any of those cleaning kit types work, or do i just leave it as is?

I have a JR filter on mine, i just took it off and dumped it in a bowl of hot soapy water, gave it a scrub with a soft brush, rinsed and stuck it on the sun.

IIRC it has the oil baked on or something, so i did not re oil it. It can cause issues with the MAF if you put too much on.

You have to be careful how you clean some filters as high pressure washers kills the fine elements, like K&N and Green cotton filters. Air compressers are a good way to remove dirt. Warm soapy water is normally sufficent, then rinsing from the inside out to stop particals going inwards through the elements. I know green and K&N have a special spray cleaner (I have them) but this is probably just a mild soap cleaning fluid. Then you need to re oil the K&N an green filters with a special spray. No filter has oil baked on it, and it is applied by the manufactors when new, and will be removed if using their cleaning fluids. Light Re applying after a clean of this oil will not kill the MAF. If the filter material is foam then it won't need oiling.
