I need to replace my cracked radiator fan. The part fitted to the car is a Siemens item, but I have found a cheap Temic one on ebay. Will the temic one fit as a direct replacement?

Nothing wrong with Temic (Telefunken Microelectronics). Really you need the part no. for comparison purposes though since different models have different fan units.

Thanks for your reply EGC. I'm not concerned that the temic will be substandard, just whether it will fit!

The Temic part number is 1k0959455cq, the siemens is 1k0959455n. Is the cq vs n suffix important?

Yes, all the fans have the same number, its the letters at the end that determine the suppliers, size and power rating. In this case, so far as I can determine, they CQ and N are both 360mm, 300W fans, just from different suppliers, so you should be OK.
