Fog lights

Featured Replies

Confession time.

I've just used mine for the first time ever, sorry everyone.:o

Like a Novembers day here today though, and yes I do mean it's foggy....thick fog.

Can't believe how many drivers don't use any lights at all in these conditions though. :rotz:

I binned mine!

But as long as it was foggy I guess i'lll let you off.

Fog lights are a bug bear of mine. It really annoys me how many people don't seem to have the foggiest (ha) idea of how to use them properly. The number of rear foglights you see come on as soon as it's even remotely foggy beggars belief! And remain on even when you're in a queue of traffic. Out of courtesy (and a wish not to dazzle the person behind me) I turn my rear foglight off as soon as someone appears behind me and then turn it back on when necessary, but it's rarely ever that foggy!

It always seem surprising the number of older drivers you see using front foglights on completely clear nights too. I always thought it was a teenage driver habit! I've got no idea why they do it, it doesn't really increase the amount of light on the road and surely they're past the age of wanting to look "cool" by having foglights on?!
