Octavia car audio swing: Music over Bluetooth?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have 2009 Octavia (elegance) with basic bluetooth system. Phone functions work like a charm with my nokia E71, but Im wondering could I get music via bluetooth to car audio system from my phone?

At least in car audio I can select a media as a "BT audio". Also my phone is not using its own loudspeaker so I believe that phone thinks that it is connected to AVRCP system...

But the result is no sound when enabling BT audio from car audio system, only silence.

Should I do something to my phone or car audio or should it even work like I though?

thanks

No, the car system does support BT music, only headset/handsfree mode.

Why manual is saying like this for this BT-audio?

http://ws.skoda-auto.com/download/4all/Documentation_ENG/Swing_A5_FL.pdf

BT-AUDIO*

Enables a wireless transfer of MP3 data to the telephone preinstallation.

*page7

Press the button , in order to select the audio source: CD

(internal CD drive), CDC (external CD changer), AUX (external input)

and BT-AUDIO (wireless transfer of MP3 data to the telephone preinstallation).

Perhaps then the Octavia kit does support A2DP.

But, your phone must also support it for it to work fully.

The phone, Nokia E71 do support this a2dp but im still not getting any sound from the car radio.

Keep pressing the CD button and you should see an extra option according to the superb thread to the usual CD>Change>Aux

That says its possible. Cant find the thread that said how. But as you've quoted from the manual already which say it is possible, seems your connection inst set up for A2DP.

You should be able to see what services a BT device offers, and change mode on your phone, or set 2 different BT modes.

You might have a better response in the ICE forum, so I've moved this thread there for you.
