Floor Mat Fixings

Featured Replies

Hi

I brought some new mats today at the local dealer and they have come with a stud type fixing, the ones in the car are a twist type so the new ones wont fit. Any ideas how I remove the existing twist fixings Ive tried pulling and unscrewing but to no avail they seem to be stuck fast.

Cheers

Rich

Take the mats back and get them to give you the right ones?

mine were ordered with twist fitting and screw fitting arrived , i just asked the dealer to reorder the right ones, the part no should be different.

When I got my vRS mats, the holes were in the wrong place, if you try unscrewing the fixings get your fingers around it and pull whilst unscrewing, you should have no problem changing them......but as mentioned previously, if the dealer ordered the wrong ones, take them back.

I didnt realise you could still get the twist style. I just assumed they have been changed. I will take them back.
