Upgrading OEM bulbs

Featured Replies

I have seen many sellers offering kits to change from standard bulbs to hids, by connecting a small box into the bulb wiring then the new bulbs

has anyone fitted these kits and how do they perform and do the bulbs last longer than the OME ones

I have aftermarket xenons fitted, they are 4300K (same as OEM) there is no comparison between them and std or even uprated bulbs.

Passed the last 2 MOT's with them fitted with no issues as the Superb has projectors headlights as std so there is no beam scatter at all (never been 'flashed' either)

I very much doubt the light goes where it is supposed to go.................:thumbdwn:

You are probably right - as it goes exactly where the halogen light went

Which it would, as the HID bulbs are the same length as the halogens they replaced which is why the beam pattern did not change one bit.
