Leaking fluid from Clutch Slave cylinder connecting pipe.

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Ok where to start.

I have a 06 Octavia 1.9D, I have just changed the complete clutch unit (Incl Dual Mass Flywheel) today, and replaced the Slave Cylinder with a new one, fitted everything back together and started to bleed the slave cylinder, I noticed that it started to leak from the pipe connection fitting that fits into the slave cylinder, now every time I press the clutch pedal (to bleed the clutch), fluid leaks from this joint, Have I missed something off, like an 'O' Ring or something (I saw nothing like this when I removed it), the only thing there was, was the metal retianing clip, or has anyone else had a similar problem, if so please can you let me know what you did to get around it, I need the car to get to work, but until I can get it to stop leaking, I cant bleed the clutch properly...

I have done a forums search, but can not find anything relating to the connection pipe leaking.

Thanks in advance.

Quick Update.

Managed to get it all sorted, there must have been a little rubber ring fitted to the end of the pipe and plastic fitting when I disconnected it in the first place, and it must have done a dissapearing act before I saw it :) anyways, contacted Skoda and they supplied me with a new rubber ring for £1.78, all is good again now.

So mods can close this topic now if they wish.
