It may have always made this resonating, buzzing noise but I doubt it.

It happens when you lift of the throttle and coast in any gear.

No loss in power, mpg etc.

Ideas?

I might take the engine cover off tonight to see if it is that.

Almost certainly a vibration from around the engine cover / air box area. Just have to get experimenting with wedging some fits of foam or something in. There are a couple of older threads about fixing it if you search.

I have this in my 2.0tdi Elegance, I thought it was an engine cover mount or something but its not. The main dealers just dismissed it when I brought it up with them!! Its a nuisance when your pottering around a carpark or housing estate.
