I must admit we had a guy in with an issue with his , and he had an alternate little filter on and that was wrong one , was not the Carbonio one and that caused an issue with the car

So you have to fit the correct one

is this filter then only needed with a CAI set up ?

cheers, might have a go in a bit seeing as ive had a half day at work, ive got not breather filter but a mate has one, ive had this cai on a prev skoda but i paid someone to install it for me.

Yes , have a go yourself....

Just dont tighten the carbon fibre up too much , as I have known one person to over tighten and then it cracks the carbon.....just be a tad careful there

Have you taken off the 90' plastic bend that fits in the standard airbox. You should be left with just the straight pipe. Then this should slide inside the filter to allow you to tighten it up.

All sorted now, i had taken the elbow off but was trying to isert the corrugated tube all the way over the filter which wont happen but got it part way and tightly secured with the jubilee
