Some bright spark decided to clatter my boot lid the other day, then drive off and leave me to find out later. The damage is just below and to the left of the number plate and involves a crease about a foot long which also has caused warping around the strengthening areas of the number plate holder.

The local "Dent Doctor" and "Hit Man" have both had a look, but reckon that it's not an easy job and that a new boot lid might be the best solution. Haven't enquired yet about the price of a new one but would imagine that it's pretty high.

Can anyone think of a good way of tracking down a used boot lid? I've tried Car Boot Sales, but they never seem to sell Car Boots ......:confused:

Have a careful look and see if the Passat boot lid is the same.

Passat boot lid is not the same. It's almost identical except for the bottom corners - The passat has rounded corners where the Superb is more square. :(

i saw a boot for sale on ebay ......under superb breaking...worth a look.hope it helps
