Different type of tractor engine, Common Rail is more modern.

Do you mean the difference between a PD TDi or CR TDi? Or the difference between diesel and petrol variants of the vRS?

There have been two types of diesel engine in the vRS: PD and CR.

Simply, the CR is the newer more refined engine. They both basically have the same power output, and similar emissions and economy.

The other engine is the petrol turbo.

All the engines are good, it depends upon what your priorities are.
