New Octy has arrived ! !

Featured Replies

Hi All,

After much thought and stress from swmbo, the petrol vRS has now left....and has been replaced with a TDi vRS :):)

Initial thoughts were to replace the Race Blue with an LE version, and after nearly signing for it, I stumbled across what I think is a bargain. Spec on the LE was not as high as I would have liked, so I plumped for the car below.

Let me know your views etc

2008 Race Blue vRS Hatch (tdi not CR)

15000mls with the following extras

18" Wheels

Jumbo box and dual zone climate rear parking sensors

Columbus touch screen Nav and Maxidot

Xenon lights

Auto wipers and Auto lights

Sunset privacy glass

Factory rear sun blind

All this from Skoda Dealer down in Newton Abbott for the princely sum of ......

£13000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone wants my old petrol vRS, they have it for sale at £10495 with front and rear parking, 18" wheels, maxidot, cruise, dual zone etc etc.

If you check the spec on their site, it doesn't list any of the extras ! ! !

Real bargain, if interested, call Martin at Murray Skoda in Newton Abbott

Sounds a bargain to me..let's see the pics

Bargain.

Good price from a main dealer that.

Sounds like a car with plenty of gadgets for a great price........get some pics up

When you've got used to your new one, it'll be interesting to hear your thoughts on petrol vRS versus diesel vRS. Mine's a diesel (CR, also in race blue) as I do about 20,000 miles a year, but a bit of me wanted the petrol engine. Unlike a lot of high-performance petrol engines, it has plenty of low-down torque, like a diesel.

Already lurving the diesal vRS.

When we bought the petrol one,I convinced myself that with petrol being 9p per litre cheaper than diesal and only doing 10000 miles a year, petrol was the way to go.

Then petrol shot up in price and all my mates were doing 500 to 600 miles per tank in their A4 and Superb TDis and I was only getting 300 miles to a tank she had to go.

OK the petrol vRS IS a fantastic car with immense power, but after owning loads of A4 TDis (1.9 and 2.5) 1.9 TDi Superb, the TDi vRS is every bit as fun to drive and you get great fuel economy aswell. To me, it was a no brainer and when I found that the new car had all of the toys factory fitted it was a bargain.

Can anyone tell me how to put some piccies up of my new drive please !!

I'm a wizard with VAS5051b but home PCs I don't get on with :eek::eek:

Cheers all
