Brake Pads Sensor

Featured Replies

After replacing the Brake Pads, the Brake Pads Alarm came on ("Check Brake Pads"), i told the mechanic and he told me we will fix it by the computer thingy that u connect under the steering wheel. and he turned it off

Is this normal, or did he turned off the Brake Pads sensor forever ?

Is this normal, No

or did he turned off the Brake Pads sensor forever ? Sounds like it

If he uses VCDS (or similar) to 'fix'' the problem then all he will be doing is disabling the sensor.

What has probably happened is he has damaged the plug where the pad sensor plugs in to.

The sensor is a bit of a false comfort anyway IMO; The Octy only has a wear sensor on the LHF inside pad.
