thanks to all the useful posts while i was researching into likely costs of having a VRS

i have had my red octy tdi 1.9 ambiente from new (02) - its been the best car i ever had, done 120k and averaged 52mpg........but after 7 years of being sensible, i couldnt resist an upgrade any longer

Picked up my new Octy VRS Tdi Limited Edition last week - its awesome

couldn't get rid of red one though, p/x'd the other little car - wife much prefers the skoda.........(bonus is, she has her skoda octy now and won't need to borrow mine!!)

I'm sure to pick your brains when I need new rubber / start fiddling with the bolero etc, and I hope i will be able to contribute some tips myself in due course
