Hi All,

I have had a look through the various posts regarding the RNS 510 and i still have a few questions....(mines a retrofit jobbie)

There are three FAKRA connectors on the back two white and one blue. I assume the two white are for diversity / AM / FM etc. The blue one is for GPS? if so what are recommendations for a second party GPS aeriel with FAKRA connector? I'm using the standard roof aerial for GPS which is a bit ropey of late. Obviously i cant get AM either, which is why the splitter post is of interest.

Yup - spot on!

Dunno of anyone who's gone the whole hog & fitted the fancy shark-fin style roof aerial that has the integrated GPS module...

Something like this for a tenner (incl delivery) on eBay would do the job!

Mine's tucked away out of sight - stuck onto a metal cross-bar underneath the cubby-box & most of the time get 10+ satellites picked up...never had an occasion where it hasn't had a 3D fix.

I mostly get 2d fixes and sometimes it then runs onto inertial nav!! :(
