FL vRS Lowering Option ?

Featured Replies

The pre-FL vRS had a option to be lowered by 20mm for vRS and 32mm for other Octavia's

Will the F/L vRS have the same option or does it run lower than 128mm ground clearance that the pre-vRS had?

I wasn't aware of any changes to the suspension in the FL but of course will prepare to be corrected!

I know Auto Express made a comment that the settings were revised, but they have been predicting a new Capri, every year for 12 years and so I treat anything they print with contempt :D

in every piccie I have seen the FL looks lower than the current vRS

Beware of Photoshop! Pics I've seen of owners' cars and in dealerships look just as in need of lowering as the pre-FLs did...

The Skoda UK brochures state a 128mm drop for both the pre- and post-facelift vRS.

So in which case it should be fine with the 20mm drop OEM spring accessories.

From where? My car would be eating tarmac with a 128mm drop.

I must admit that I'd be a tad nervous going down any road which has speed humps in it with the suspension set any lower than what it is for the fear of grounding.

You're joking aren't you? In every picture and every one I've seen in the flesh looks like an off roader

In every other way the FL looks great but they do need lowering.

It SITS 128mm from the ground not a 128mm drop! :) . If it was dropped 128mm it would run on the floor and unless your name is Snoop Dog and "ya gotta get me sum chrome 20's spinnas on me ride man" then it might not be good.

Although it would be quite humourous to see

It was a joke.

Having read "The Skoda UK brochures state a 128mm drop " I just had this great image in my mind, especially as mine has the Eibach 20mm drop on the vRS - it would be like one of those road skimmers they use before laying new tarmac!

I would be comedy to see no doubt! Have you got some pics of your vRS dropped by 20mm? Really think I will have this done on my vRS

edit: found them on your previous posts looks a really nice drop without being OTT

That looks the height it should come from the factory not one with a 20mm drop.

I agree, I've always liked this example. I don't think I would want quite such a hard ride though with it being on standard dampers.

I love my car. I decided this again a couple of nights ago whilst on a midnight blast down the back roads. Handles just like my old GTI, perhaps a bit more planted due to rear weight, wider tyres (and I guess ESP if provoked) but still chuckable and fluid through the bends.

Keep it over 2k and it just flies.

I even like the noise with the windows open, either on song or gentle throttle whistling up the turbo.

(ride only too hard over speed bumps and pesky pot holes, having said that, I would still upgrade to Koni FSDs when my current shocks die)

Thta 20mm drop will be the first thing I have done to the car. Now I gotta decide between Blue and White
