lost service book

Featured Replies

hi,

I've lost my service book or rather the garage have. I have proof of all services from the garage via a service print out. What do I need to do/get as I am planning on selling the car soon?

thanks

If the garage lost it I would insist on them replacing it, and adding all the info and stamps to put it back on track.

I'm sure if they value you as a customer, they will sort it

If you have all the paperwork, then it shouldn't matter but often it does when you come to sell the car.

A dealer will probably have a blank service book to hand. If it's an independant, they they can order one from the dealer. Either way, it needs to be stamped up to match your paperwork. Make sure it does match, or a buyer may assume the stamps are fake.
