Suitable upgrade for Symphony.

Hi all, I have an L&K mk1 Octavia with the Symphony tape deck headunit and 6 disc multichanger in the boot. I'm looking for a suitable upgrade as although I haven't checked, i'm assuming the Symphony doesn't have aux pre-outs for connection to an amplifier?

I've got some Kenwood unit knocking around at home, but I personally think it looks rather garish and doesn't fit in with the dash at all. Is there an OEM upgrade which will allow me to connect an amplifier and my iPod? If not, does anyone know of a decent headunit which blends in well with the octavia mk1 dash?
