seat base

Featured Replies

:confused:Has anybody got any idea as to the best place topurchase a new drivers side seat squabb for my Vrs, as the variation in dealer quotes is crazy and not all dealers are sure if they are even available.

is it just the foam?

when you say seat squabb, do you mean the seat base (foam base which has the bottom bolster that gets ruined under the leather over time)?

If so, its would only be skoda i would have thought as the seats are designed for skoda, perhaps by recaro or perhaps not. Either way the only people who will stock this specialist item (keep in mind its not like many people replace these) will be skoda.

I repalced my seat base when i got the car as the bolster had collapsed, it cost around 60ish from what i remember and it was well worth doing!!!

Just the foam part, as the right bolster has collapsed.

Local Skoda dealer won't quote over the phone but other's have a wide range of prices, just really need idea of how much others have paid.

cheers

the seat is made up of two parts the base and the back.

The base (which is foam and includes a left and right bolster) is a 1 piece part and is around the £60 ish mark, thats the price i'm afraid. You would be very unlikely to find this being sold anywhere else as the skoda seats are different to other VAG seats.

Not sure many others have done there seats so not sure f you will get prices for comparison, however most dealer prices are very similar.

Tell your dealer to stop being obtrusive as if you have a vrs there is only 1seat base available, as far as im aware even the wrc has the same base, the heated elements sit over the top. He should be able to give you a price over the phone with your chassis number/reg.

yes only one available part number 1U0 881 375 P retail is £63+vat. there are 15 in stock at the vag warehouse
