Columbus and firmware 2664 issue (dos'nt remember there last position)

Featured Replies

Hello @all,

I have a problem with the Columbus on my Skoda Octavia 1Z (pre FL):

With firmware V1024 the navi rembers there last position.

For example: I park my car in an underground parking area, after 30 minutes I start the car again and the navi shows me the correct last position (the car does'nt see any GPS-Sat).

With firmware V2664 the navi dos'nt rembers there last position.

The same example as with V1024. But the navi shows me in the map as current position Wetzlar (a Siemens-VDO location in germany). On other cars the navi shows a position in Regensburg.

We can provoke the issue with GPS-Sat connection:

* make a reset of the navi ()

* after the startup screen (welcome to Skoda) and after the radio comes up immediately press the map button

* You'll see a screen "Navigation is starting" or something like that

* If the map comes up, most peoples see a wrong position (remember: with V1024 the navi shows the right location)

* after a while (1...5 minutes) the correct position is shown on the navi

We also make a comparison of working an non working navis:

* CAN-Gateway: not a reason --> same gateways are screwed

* Navi version: not a reason --> A, B and C versions are affected

* car fabricator: not a reason --> Skoda and VW are affected

* coding: not a reason --> same coding on navi and the CAN-Gateway (the adaptation channels are also the same)

* burn settings to burn the firmware CD: ot a reason --> we are using the same CD on an working and non working model

I disconnet the battery for 3 hours from the car. After that and one reset (after the navi founds there right position with 3D-Fix), the same problem occours....

Have any one any idea to fix that problem?

Thanks in advance.

Ciao
