Hi all,

Is it normal for the 110 TDi to have some noise that sounds like tappet noise on top of the normal diesel clatter on cold start up? Goes away after 20 seconds or so.

My wifes Fabia 1.9TDiPD doesn't have it. My car has only done 13000 miles and the dealer (Not Skoda) I bought it from serviced the car (although it didn't need it) and I wonder if the oil they used is too thick.

My car is on GQ1 variable servicing, anyone know what oil should have been used?

I get the same sort of noise on mine, I put it down to the hydraulic tappets
