Saw my first FL Octy vRS

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Firstly, it looked lovely!! DRL's do look good.

But, it was a 09 plate... thought they were all 59ers...

Shouldn't this be in 'Spotted'? ;)

more an enquiry about the plate...

Fair enough, you get the whole plate? I thought the same TBH, maybe a late Aug registration? Was it a dealer demo?

Private plate?

First post, sorry to barge in on your conversation unannounced. 09 plates are for cars registered between 1st March and 31st August 2009 so said car is not that old. It's quite feasible the car you saw was only registered less than a month ago, just before the 59 plates started 2 weeks ago today.

There are definitely FL vRS's around on an 09 plate. The dealer I have ordered mine from had a demonstrator registered before the end of June '09, and I was the first customer to drive it that day.

Ordered mine not soon after, but that is another story ... :thumbdwn:

dealer i bought mine had 2 09 plate fl vrs's in mate.

think theres a few bought as demonstrators mainly.

Had our FL VRS Estate since July on 09 plate, clocked up 4000 miles alraedy thanks to a 64 mile a day commute. Mind you the drive is much better than the 1.9 Elegance it replaced.

Yes but someone could have bought an 09 private plate (ie zz 09 vrs) and place it on what would have had a 59 plate if registered in the normal way.

Quite right. Not sure why anyone would want to do that, but that's their call :)
