octavia vrs...weird noise

Featured Replies

when sat at the lights the other day in my octvia vrs..i could hear a noise coming from the passenger footwell area....it sounds like a mouse or rat scampering around in the footwell lol.....i imagine it must be a relay or something rumbling and making a noise but i cant seem to pinpoint it,,i can hear it only when im stationery but it is annoying and obviously isnt right anyone have any ideas? cheers

It's the re circ flap for the air con.

It can sometimes be re-aligned with VCDS, but may need a new motor, it's located behind the glove boxx on the left.

About £70 for the motor, but its in a really crap place and you need micro hands too change it.

It does do it when the AC is off as well

Which is how I fixed it:D:D

mine is doing the exact same thing. feck paying £70 notes when the ac is working lol

so i removed the centre box and made exhaust louder lol and turned stereo up to :rofl::D

bloody annoying it was:(

Mine is extra annoying as the flap rotating causes a surging of air as it switches between recirc and fresh air.

Does this problem concern only climatronic or also the manual adjustment aircon?

Mine does it too.
