I've just noticed that the Control System for exhaust light has come on.

It says in the manual that the car switches to an emergency programme to allow me to drive to the nearest garage by adopting a gentle style of driving.

I took it up the A1 and theres no problem with the way its driving and certainly hasnt switched to a gentle style of driving.

Any suggestions?

Have you checked your brake lights, see the fourth sticky at the top of this forum.

Just an update, Driving to work the DPF light also came on.

Lunchtime, took the car up the A1 and back for 30 minutes, cleared the DPF but the Exhaust Control System light stayed on.

Today the Exhaust Control System light went off.

I'm just a tad confused as to what was going on but fingers crossed all ok.
