Octavia 4x4 build

Featured Replies

Ive just managed to find a LHD 4x4 PD which belongs to a friend of my6 wifes parents.

Its going cheap and i was looking at getting hold of it and changing the engine for the one out of my 130 PD!

I take it that the gearbox bell housing will be the same on the 130PD as the 100PD that is in the 4x4?

So im hoping it will be a staright swap!

Im working on the build of a re-mapped 130PD 4x4 with VRS interior and kit, wheels etc,

Has this already been done?

I think it would be worth doing as i have all the parts to do it just need the 4x4 which is going cheap, does anyone know of any reason technically this wouldnt work?

I know it would be LHD but i can live with that as ive had many Alpinas, M3,s and so on.

Thanks in advance for any input

Cheers

Sounds like an interesting project! I take it they only did a derv 4x4 in Europe? I thought all the UK ones were 1.8T's

The bellhousings might be different shape/size, but I'd be surprised if the bolt pattern on the block face is.

All the hard parts are a straight swap,so all good. You will need the PD130 ECU,dash and keys, unless you have a immobliser defeat.

Will be a top project, shame Skoda did'nt bring this model into the UK,I hear the RS TDi 4x4 was a top car ( only ever seen two in Essen).
