just wondering if you can help, ive got a 1997 skoda felicia 1.3 lxi the problem is my temp guage dont work at all and its using a tonne of fuel, do's anyone have any idea's as my local garage said its most probs my temp sensor on the top of my cooling mount if so where could i poss get one from.

You can get the sensors pretty much anywhere - one of the site sponsors, eBay, TPS, a dealer even (they're not mega-expansive!) I did a guide for the 1.4MPi in the Fabia, here (it's more or less the same for you...)

In the past, when this topic has come up, I've suggested also replacing the thermostat housing as you can get the OEM parts as a pack. On recent experience, though, I'd wait until it's actually necessary to replace it and get the uprated part with the circlip from Jorily (or anyone else who stocks it), which doesn't come with a sensor but should last as long as the car does...
