new superb

Featured Replies

Hi all,

just been to my local agent to look into having a new superb in a couple of months. first i asked when the estate would be available and told maybe end of 2010, then i asked had they fixed all the problems, water ingress, electrical faults, parking sensors etc, etc and all he said was that they were VW problems, the new superb is totally built by skoda, entirely different, no problems, so you believe that?

i then asked why no V6 diesel option, again told everything built by skoda.

anyone have any comments, because it looks a beautiful car and really want one, but it niggles that my old superb has all these problems and they have miraculously gone away!!

The Superb2 is a totally different car to the Superb1, so any problems you had on the first one probably aren't really relevent (it may have its own new ones however!)

I would be surprised if the estate was as late as end of next year, I'd expect it in the first 6 months of the year (anyone?)

As for the engine, V6 diesel would be nice but no rumours at the moment. Maybe try test driving a 170-TDI? Great power and torque and should be pretty economical too.
