how do i know which octavia i have ? im looking to get new light but not sure on which i need thanks

What year was the car made?

Pre facelift ones are different

If you have 2 rear head restraints it is pre facelift

If you have 3 , facelift model

its on an 04 plate and has 3 head rest in back...

was told to go but engine code will check tomorro

Get some pics up of the front end , that may help

But could be MK1 or MK2 at that age IIRC

04 MK 1 = Full width bonnet.

04 MK 2= Bonnet tapers in at front to between headlights.

The Mk2 Octavia has C-shaped clear bits in the red lenses of the rear lights whereas the Mk1 has two bars of clear bits (or the pre-2001 ones have two sets of thin bars)

Pull a headlight bulb out - if it's an H4 it's a mk1, and if it's an H7 it's a mk2.
