I posted a few weeks ago asking whether to purchase one of these connects2 Ipod connections. Since then I have and on installation there were a few problems with my symphony unit (we broke the power/volume button) so I have been running it through an old VW stereo while the symphony was fixed.

I have now come to play it through my symphony unit. The unit works fine but cannot 'find' the ipod and keeps telling me there is no cd changer.

I have seen other suggest hold cd down for a couple of seconds but I am still having no luck. All the wiring seems to be fine as I have been playing fine through another stereo.... any ideas?????

Sorted - you need to earth it before connecting anything else
