TCS switched off??

hi,

i want to know if i switch off the TCS option in my FL octavia 1.8 tsi, will my abs also switch off?? i dont have ESP in my car only TCS, i know the TCS works with abs sensors so if i switch of the TCS, will the abs also stop working??

so even if i switch tcs off my abs will work? thats nice i thought its written in the manual that the tcs system when off will deactivate the abs sensors, hmmmn..

You can't switch the ABS off, if you could it would invalidate your insurance.

The TCS will use the ABS sensors to detect wheel spin.

The only way to 'turn' the ABS off is to pull the fuse(s), or to get one of those special VAG group ABS units that fail when the car is just out of warranty :rolleyes:

Why do you want to turn the ABS off anyhow? Are you doing a better drving coures and want to see how to stop a skid in a car without ABS perhaps? No one should now drive a car without ABS, in fact it been a EU law since I think 2003 that all cars have it, much like airbags

no one wants to switch abs off, i was under the impression that turning the TCS off will turn the abs off also, i was worried about that :rolleyes:
