Replacing headlamp mounting bracket

Hi I need to replace the headlamp mounting bracket on my Octy II after some **** reversed into the car and broke the rear securing lug. The part number is 1Z0 941340 btw. It looks fairly straight forward; remove the light, undo two torque screws , remove bracket and fit new bracket. I am posting in case anyone has done this before and there are any known gotcha's I could do with knowing about. My lights are not Xenon and I cannot see that the bracket has any influence on the beam alignment. At the moment the light points noticibly lower than the other as the headlamp is sitting about 5mm higher than it should. Cheers in advance...
