VRS FL Unit 18 Motech re map

Featured Replies

Went over a couple of weeks ago to unit 18 to take advantage of their winter remap offer. Its taken me this long to leave the car alone long enough to log on and review! Had a revo remap on my previous VRS so as soon as i took delivery of the FL I had to get this done aswell. Thought i'd try Motech and was really looking forward to seeing what they could do, especially as the FL feels like a stronger engine. Met Alistair and Mike, what good guys they are. Mike did the remap and talked me through what they do. We then took it out for a spin to see if it needed tweaking and boy did it make a difference and no tweaks needed, although Mike did say any problems in future to come back and they would sort. After two weeks of playing i can honestly say it's better than the revo, although it is a different engine so I can't do an exact direct comparison. This was the first they had done to a FL although they had done many of the engine in other VAG models and I can strongly recommend anyone looking at remapping to give them a call. They have a dyno print out of a golf (same engine) they have previously done in one of their threads showing around 260 brake, all i can say is, if the revo was meant to give 250 I can belive this wouldn't be far of in the FL, it's definitely stronger. So thanks Alistair and Mike, big smiles everytime i get in the car now!

Sounds like a good result
