Any ideas what may cause this? At times there is a strong rich smell inside the car, noticed more last night as it made me feel quite ill.Have tried a brief search but not found much.

Seriously, try the aircon deodouriser, and change the pollen filter when you're at it.

Not sure what you mean by rich. Rich as in chicken sh*te or rich as in fuel fixture?!

If it's a stong oily smell, then it'll be the top Y-shaped breather hose off the rocker cover.

If it smells like a frenchman, change the pollen filter. Or remove said frenchman from the boot.

...and bury said Frenchman.

Screenwash?Leaky heater matrix?Aircon fault?

Sadly I haven't got a boot full of cash, and certainly haven't had any dealings with frenchman!

It is more an oily, fuel type richness smell, I will be trying the aircon deodouriser, the car has recently has the y-shaped breather changed as it had split.

Is it like a sickly sweet oily sort of smell? Gearbox oil stinks!
