130 Cr When

Featured Replies

I wish Skoda would bring back the 1.9 130 but with CR, the 130 is the best all round engine for this car, also they need to re model the rear seat base so that there are 3 bum bits instead of 2 with a solid bit in the middle

Erm...

The 1.9 PD 130bhp was phased out cause they couldn't get it to meet EU5 emmissions. Replaced with the much nicer 2.0 16v CR 140.

And that's because it's not wide enough for three "full" seats.

Does the 140 have the same turbo problems as it does in the Octy, I know the seats are not wide enough but at least the centre squab could be made softer

The centre could be made softer, but the "outter" seats wouldn't be as good. It's a compromise from the design of them, unfortunately.

Not sure about the turbos, but I would imagine. Although I have no idea how big a problem this is!

I would imagine VAG have learned many lessons from the old BKD 2.0TDI engine. Dodgy cylinder heads, dodgy flywheels and dodgy turbos to name but a few of the common problems with it. It was their first stab at a 16v diesel so lets hope the second gen 16 valve CR units are much more reliable.

140 hp new cr-diesel production expected to start at week 10. Or at least so it says in Finland`s skoda-price list......
