Horn Problem

Featured Replies

I have a problem with my horn. If I press just one side of the steering wheel nothing happens, I need to press both sides for it to sound. This isn't normal is it? The car needs to go for its MOT soon so would this fail? The horn does sound... if you know how to do it :giggle:

Try Viagra , in the radiator

Maybe some grubby contacts in the steering wheel? You'd have to pop the cover off the wheel to have a look. No idea how to do this though so you'd have to check with Haynes, or get Skoda to have a look.

Be careful with giving it to Skoda though, as I'm sure they'd love to charge you for a new wheel at great expense!

If you press both sides, it works, but if you press one side and not the other it doesn't!?

How about if you press top or bottom?

I suspect Bodge is correct about the contacts being the issue; I'm trying to narrow down where the dodgy contacts are.
