Why would you want to do that? Don't you want to know when your pads are on their way out?

You can by simply snipping the sensor wire and twisting it together.

Yes vag com can switch this off... it's in the instrument coding. If I remember correctly it will override you trying to switch the system off if the message is being triggered by a serious brake fault. If it's just the low pad warning then it'll work fine.
