Changing mirror repeater bulbs

Featured Replies

Is it easy to change repeater bulbs in side mirrors?

What type of bulb is it anyway?

Car is Superb 2007.

Regards,

They're LED's and are changed as a complete unit from the dealers. I've never done it but I'm lead to believe that switching them is a 2 minute job. IIRC they're c£25

I've never carried out this operation myself, but this is what the workshop manual says (Superb 02-07):

First.

Removing and installing the mirror housing

– Fold the mirror forwards to be able to remove it more easily.

– Fold the mirror glass -2- to the vehicle.

– Pull the screwdrriver -5- through assembly opening through the clamp -4-.

– Press with the screwdriver -5- in -the direction of the arrow- and unlock the clamp -4-.

– Remove the mirror holder -1- from the holder -2-.

Second.

Removing and installing bracket for the door entry lighting

Note: The mirror in the illustration is without glass for purposes of clear presentation.

– Remove fixing screws -3- and disconnect plug connection -1-.

– Remove the holder with door entry lighting -2-.
