Can anyone tell me if the headlights off an 02 MK1 Octavia will fit a 98 MK1 Octavia as an 02 pair are available in the for sale section.

If they won't fit is the internal reflector available on it's own. The headlight is fine apart from the reflector which as lost it's reflective coating and is now just off white.

I have stripped the unit down ready for rebuilding if the part is available. The number stamped on the back of the reflector is " 246 083L >UP-GF<"

the indicator housing units from an 02 wont fit they slightly altered the design of the bracket as the unit slides into the front wing. I found this when some idiot in a transit van crunched into my front indicator and smashed it. They do look very similar but side by side you will see a difference in the plastic bracket on the 02 onwards.
