How hard to fit Miltec downpipe/sports cat?

Featured Replies

just ordered my miltec downpipe/sports cat and was just wondering how hard they are to fit anyone under gone this?? its a mk1 octy vrs B)

engine out job that one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

joking not that hard buddy

The guy who fitted mine had to drill out two of the bolts on the turbo and re-tap the threads. So if your nuts are rusty you might have trouble getting the old one off.

cool dnt wanna book it into the garage and waste money if i can do it myself. got a pit in my garage aswell so that helps B)

Since you have a pit it shouldn't be that bad.

I fitted mine and it wasn't that bad.

You should spray all the bolts with plusgas and leave it over night.I would then warm the car up a bit so that nuts should free themselves easier.Try to undo the bolts slowly and use some heat if they seem stuck,as this will help avoiding snapping them.

Another vote here for undoing the nuts when warm, and after a little squirt of wd40, mine came off no problem
