Rev Hunting

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I'm having probs with my octy. It started a year ago where it would cut the power and EPC and Traction control light would come on. Had the throttle body replaced as this was thought to be the sorce of the problems.

All was calm for 4 months when yesterday and today it did the same thing, also while on the way home from the moment i started the engine till when i turned it off it was stuttering and while idal the revcounter was hunting.

Any ideas people? I have run out :(

Not an expert in these areas but could it not be an electrical problem? ASR/Faulty sensor maybe? That wouldn't explain the revcounter though. :S

well I'm going to get it on a VAG com sometime this week. see what the cars brain is saying... goo goo ga jook by the sound of the engine!

Hunting revs could be a faulty vacume pipe.
