As my VRS was the first diesel car I've owned I was told by the dealer to expect it to warm up very slowly compared to petrol cars....and boy, is it true!

He suggested putting the cars vent system into recycle mode to get the cabin warmer quicker...it works.

Most of my Octavia's radiator is taken up by the twin fans. But the top corner is covered by spring loaded louvres which I guess only pop open at speed.

Was giving it a hosedown as everything is corroding badly in these very salty conditions.
